Nissan Trucks are Being Recalled for Rollaway Risks

Tulum, Mexico - May 17, 2017: Pickup truck Nissan Frontier D22 in the city street.

In September 2022, Consumer Reports reported that over 200,000 Nissan Frontier and Nissan Titan pickup trucks have been recalled by the manufacturer due to a risk that they could roll away when parked.

The initial recall was established months earlier, specifically in June 2022, and covered the model years from 2020 – 2022. Then, in September, the recall was expanded to include model years 2022 – 2023.

According to Nissan, the pickup trucks in question could roll away even when the transmission appears to be in park and has advised owners to engage the emergency parking brake each time the car is parked while it works on a solution.
